Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D., will be the featured speaker at UND’s School of Law spring commencement ceremony next month, the university announced Tuesday.
The event will be held at 10 a.m. May 7 in the Chester Fritz Auditorium. This spring, 79 students are eligible to cross the stage and graduate.
Hoeven was sworn in as North Dakota’s junior senator in January after serving as governor for the past 10 years.
During his time as governor, Hoeven supported research at UND and across the state, especially through the Centers of Excellence program that he initiated. He’s worked in the Senate to champion the state’s unique value to the unmanned aircraft systems industry.
