Here’s an interesting Associated Press story about some political star power that’s being called in to help the two major party candidates for Minnesota governor, Mark Dayton (DFL) and Tom Emmer (Republican). It shows how much national attention this race is getting:
Marquee political names from the Democratic and Republican parties are headed to Minnesota this week to lend a hand in Minnesota’s race for governor.
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal will help raise money today for GOP gubernatorial nominee Tom Emmer. The next day, former President Bill Clinton will headline a fundraiser for Democratic nominee Mark Dayton.
Both events are at hotels in Minneapolis.
As of Friday, neither visitor planned to make any appearances open to the general public.
Vice President Joe Biden is due in Minnesota next month on Dayton’s behalf.
